FADE IN:

EXT. DINER - DAY

A man named JASON (30s) walks into a diner and takes a seat at a booth. He looks at the menu and orders a burger and fries.

INT. DINER - DAY

The waitress, LUCY (20s), serves Jason his meal. He takes a bite and suddenly feels dizzy. He looks around and realizes that everyone in the diner is frozen.

JASON: (to himself) What the hell is going on?

Jason tries to leave but the door won't budge. He's stuck.

JASON: (to himself) This can't be real.

He takes another bite of his burger and suddenly everything unfreezes.

JASON: (to Lucy) Did you see that?

LUCY: See what?

JASON: (to himself) Am I going crazy?

He tries to leave again but the door won't budge. He's stuck in a time loop.

JASON: (to himself) How do I break this loop?

He spends hours trying to figure out how to break the loop, but nothing works.

JASON: (to himself) I'm never going to escape this.

He resigns himself to his fate and continues to eat his burger and fries, day after day.

CUT TO:

INT. DINER - DAY (DAY 30)

Jason has a beard and looks tired. He's given up trying to escape the loop.

LUCY: Same thing as always, hun?

JASON: Yes, please.

He takes a bite of his burger and suddenly everything unfreezes.

JASON: (to Lucy) Wait! Don't go!

LUCY: What's wrong?

JASON: (to Lucy) Can you help me?

LUCY: Help you with what?

JASON: (to Lucy) I've been stuck in a time loop. I don't know how to get out.

LUCY: (to Jason) Really?

JASON: (to Lucy) Yes, please help me.

LUCY: (to Jason) Okay. Let's try something.

Lucy takes Jason's hand and they walk outside. They walk around the block and come back to the diner.

CUT TO:

INT. DINER - DAY (DAY 30)

Jason takes a bite of his burger and suddenly everything unfreezes.

JASON: (to Lucy) It worked! Thank you!

LUCY: (to Jason) No problem.

Jason pays his bill and walks out of the diner, relieved that he's finally escaped the time loop.

FADE OUT.
